1. What is Chinese Bigu?

Chinese Bigu is a well-known traditional Chinese wellness technique, originating from ancient Daoist practice. It can help people shift into a special energized state where no food but only mineral water is need during a prolonged time period. It looks like the western fasting diet somehow, but actually, has some essential differences. As comparison with the western fasting, the bigu state is unbelievably relaxed, comfortable and energized. It usually lasts several weeks, sometimes even several months. It helps people get detoxified, lose weight, recover from chronic diseases, and enhance working or studying efficiencies, among many other results. As most of the advanced Daoist masters who keep the bigu method prefer to live in the remote mountains as solitaries, average people have very few chances to study bigu.
